England Trials Update 6th March 10
Update: Congratulations to Vinetta, we are awaiting confirmation but it looks like she has made it through to the elite squad. We are also waiting to hear regarding Lynton who unfortunately was unable to make the final trials due to illness. Fingers crossed!
Congratulations to both Vinetta Keith and Lynton Sharp who were successful in the England Open Touch trials that are being held across the country. Having been shortlisted they have now be invited by the England Touch to try out for a place on 6th March in the England squad for the European Touch Championships being held in Bristol in July and in next year’s Touch World Cup in Edinburgh. Medway Touch Association is excited about their success and proud to have helped both of them get to this stage. The trials are intense and require a high level of skill and stamina and are very competitive; few get through. This is Medway Touch’s inaugural year as a club in their own right and so this has been a major achievement for us and now we want to help others to achieve the same level of success.
Congratulations also to Trevor Jefferies for being nominated to referee at the Euro's and looking to achieve his Level 3 Referee European badge.

2010 Mission Statement
Through a structured coaching programme we aim to carry this success on and look to discover and nurture new skills and talent from around the area and help build future success for those who participate. By working in tandem with other sports associations and local schools we are giving sports, like Touch, a new focus and pushing to get them on the schools curriculum. We are already running a primary and secondary school Touch competition for schools in the Medway area. Our hope is to follow this success with other sports and activities such as, SAQ, ultimate Frisbee, Dodgeball and Softball. Our commitment here is to help develop those with existing skills and train new students, both at adults and children level. This supports our principals of sport for all, with a lot of fun thrown in.
Come along and join us. We take students from age 11, so if you feel you want to try something new then we can help you.
