The Medway Touch Association is looking to continue to support local sports development bodies and schools to encourage children and adults from all backgrounds to play sports.
Trevor Jefferies created and ran the Medway Rugby Football Club community coaching programme for 4 years and is looking to continue to provide the support and encouragement to local sporting activities.

Medway Touch ran it's first community coaching events in June on behalf of Burnt Oak Primary in Gillingham in June/July

St Andrews School & Halling School. Medway touch also showcased touch and ultimate at the Medway Mile afternoon event.

Day rugby camp on behalf of Greenacre Partnership.
Weekly have a go sessions featuring touch and ultimate held at Chatham Grammar School for Boys. All sessions were open to the general public

Lordswood Juniors, Parkwood and Kingfisher join the MTA patnership with afterschool clubs being run for terms 1 & 2 (September/December)
Walderslade Girls are also taking part in a touch development day on 28th September.
Ultimate is also being showcased at Copperfields Park on 26th September.

Delivering ongoing coaching touch afterschool sessions at Kingfisher, Lordswood and Hempstead for the Greenacre Partnership. Also mentoring St Marys Island as part of Medway Sports Developments teachers cpd programme.
We are delighted to be able to support the MEND programme and deliver an hours free touch coaching to local participants

Continued support for Kingfisher, Lordswood and Hempstead Junior school afterschool touch clubs. St Andrews School also benefitted from a multiskills coaching session.

Fort Pitt Grammer, Walderslade Girls School and Warren Wood afterschool clubs. Every Saturday morning the Touch Academy.
January will see the post christmas blues fitness & fun sessions
Will see a junior schools touch league starting 23rd February and finishing 30th March an the inaugural Medway Touch Schools Cup on 24th April.
We will also be lending our support to the running of a secondary schools league which will culminate in a finals night at Medway Park. Details TBC
February 2010
St Marys Island, St Andrews, Warren Wood, Fort Pitt, Walderslade Girls and St Margarets School Rainham all receiving additional coaching support and the Medway Touch Academy continues.
